Happy 2015!!

Happy 2015!! I hope that your holiday season was full of peace, joy, and love. I should probably start by introducing and sharing a little about myself.  My name is Sharde' Brown and I love to connect with people-especially other women.  I believe that despite our ethnicity, background, shape size, and hair color that we all are connected in some aspect because ultimately we just desire to love and have that love returned.

Naturally, I love my family and friends very much, but there's only one that simply captivates my heart and that's Jesus!  He is the only One who can love me without a limit! He also teaches me how to love myself and others.

My intimate relationship and love for my Savior is taking me to new heights and levels; higher than I've ever imagined!  His love for me gives me the confidence that I need to move past my fears, doubts, and uncertainties (especially starting this blog).

After much debate with myself, I finally decided to start my blog.  I asked myself questions like: what will I talk about, what should I say, who cares to read what I'm thinking?  I literally almost talked myself right out of even giving it a try, as I've done several times in the past.

I recall my initial inspiration came from author, motivational speaker and life coach, Tony Gaskins Jr.  I attended one of his powerful seminars a few years ago in Atlanta, courtesy of a close friend of mine (hey Charly).  After attending the event, I was never the same.  A fire ignited inside of me, motivating me to "wake up" and start doing more with my life. I soon developed new interests and desires such as, starting my own business, writing a book, and starting a blog-which I had never heard of until attending the seminar.  One thing that Tony Gaskins Jr. mentioned and this is not verbatim, [if you want to start your own business and you don't know exactly what to do or how, start by blogging]. This was great advice.

I'm now stepping out on faith and my blogging officially starts here.  I'm unsure where it will lead me, but as long as I am able to use my blog as a positive platform to encourage, strengthen, inspire, and support women, I'll be grateful for that.

We're already two days into 2015...how much closer are you to accomplishing the goals that you set in place for yourself? If you've been consistent in taking action to succeed at whatever it is that you're trying to make happen-great job!  On the other hand, if you've noticed that you're struggling after two days or you haven't even been able to start-don't give up!  The only difference between those who succeed and those who don't is that, the people that meet their goals didn't stop trying until it was done.

Don't stop when your tired...stop when you are done!  I'll be praying for your continued determination and perseverance as you strive to reach your goals in 2015!

Peace and Blessings,

Sharde'
